What began in 1903 as a modest waterfront bathhouse — "The Casino" — was formally incorporated as the Tokeneke Club in 1907, named for Chief Tokeneke, the peaceful local leader of the Siwanoy people.
The clubhouse has been rebuilt and modernized six times across more than a century, the cost of life on the Sound's edge. A new 20,000-square-foot clubhouse opened in 2017; the East Campus Project completed in 2024. Through every storm and every rebuild, the cove and the community have remained.

Beach, boats & bathhouse
Nearly 900 feet of private beach on an idyllic cove. Cabanas, kayaks, paddleboards, and member moorings.

Tennis April through November, four off-site paddle courts in winter, and a six-lane 25-meter pool with competitive swim, dive, and water polo.
